ANCW Debuts America’s BEEF Silver Jewelry Items

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Feb. 3, 2015) ‚ The American National CattleWomen Inc. (ANCW) is encouraging cattlemen and women to display their pride and support of America’s beef with the purchase of a sterling silver necklace, lapel pin or tie tack engraved with the words BEEF. Proceeds from this project will help support the CattleWomen’s continuing mission to promote beef nationwide to consumers of all ages.

The necklaces, which are available with chain lengths of 16, 18, 20 and 24 inches, are $32 each, while the lapel pins and tie tacks are $20 each.

Oklahoma ANCW member Barbara Jacques is project chairman for the creation of these jewelry pieces. She reports that the pieces were introduced in November for the Christmas season. Within the first two months about $7,000 in merchandise has been sold.

With the future funds procured from the America’s BEEF jewelry sales, Jacques says her vision is to utilize the money to revitalize the ANCW website to create a beautiful, colorful website with interactive teacher information and featuring stories of young women in the beef industry from ranchers to researchers.

“There is nothing better than a well-educated young mother from our industry sharing her story with urban moms,” Jacques says. “With a redesigned website we would have a tool to reach more people than we could ever dream of.”

The BEEF jewelry pieces will be available for sale at the Cattle Industry Convention Trade Show at the Lifeline booth (Booth #2037). Order information is also available on www.ancw.org, or visit with an ANCW member from your state. Orders can also be placed by contacting Jacques at 918-645-8762.
